Settled by Preston B. Plum in 1856 along the Saline and Smoky Hill Rivers, Salina, KS was founded by William A. Phillips in 1858 and is located right at the intersection of I-35 (US-81) and I-70.
With an estimated population count of about 50,000 people (up from ~46,000 in 2006,) Salina is a thriving city with a rich history, big business, and great climate variance.
